Lady Borgia Teaser...

So recently I did a photo shoot for a friend. Kelly aka "Lady Borgia" invited me to help take some pictures of her modeling some new styles for Temptress Fashions. Went down with my camera in hand and had a blast! In any case I have a ton of pictures to go through and fix, edit and beautify. However, her is a sneak peek... hope you like.

Cats

It's no surprise I love cats. I want to try to start taking pictures of the stray and feral cats around San Diego. So if you have a colony or just a few random strays that won't run away at the smallest attempt to get close let me know. The 3 cats below are from Christal's neighborhood. The black and white was the oldest and very friendly. The other two were still pretty young and wary about anyone getting closer than 5 feet. I did get some nice shots though.

Give me a subject to shoot... anything.

So I asked my friends what they would like to see me shoot and one of the topics was the Coronado Bridge in San Diego Bay. So last minute I headed out to cross the dreaded bridge and find some nice spots to snap a few shots. Out of 77 shots I found a few I liked. I was also asked to get some of the local neighborhood art under the bridge but the area isn't so nice at 8pm. I'll revisit that in broad daylight here in the next few days ahead. Here's a few of what I did manage to get. Also what I think is my best night shot of the San Diego skyline so far.

Club Acension.

Saturday night I decided the anti social binge I undertook for the last 4 years was going to seriously end. I took off to visit a friends night club. Robin Roth (91X DJ) and Tom King (one of the most chill guys I know) put's on a monthly club called Acension. It's downtown at the Kava Lounge and it's pretty cool. Music is a mix of Gothic, Industrial and so on. Any case here's a few favorites from the club. Most if not all were shot with a Canon 50mm 1.8 at 3200-6400 ISO and my Canon 7D. Enjoy.

Next outing will be Dominion.

Just got my confirmation letter in the mail today and I'm all set. Just got to pick up my press pass package at 1015am on Saturday.

Stephen Birch Aquarium

I love the Stephen Birch Aquarium. Today I went and shot with the nifty 50 and 6400 ISO. The challenge was there but I think I got some nice shots. No glare and minimal glass focus. Here are some of the results.
